Second patent granted in the US for 4D Medicine Ltd.
We are pleased to share the news of our second patent being granted in the US. The patent, entitled Tunable Materials, with the number US12275186B2, covers the various combinations of material properties that can be achieved in a one-piece implantable medical device using multi-photo-initiated compositions of 4Degra®.
Combining this capability with the geometric design freedom of 3D-printing, opens up new innovation opportunities for medical devices. In particular, the potential to engineer biomimetic devices with complex structure/property combinations, for use in orthopaedic indications involving connective tissue, for example.
4D COO Dr Andy Naylor said “This patent represents another milestone on our mission to redefine excellence in bioaborbable medical devices and we look forward to working with our strategic partners to develop new device concepts that exploit this technology”.
